Title of the Sermon: The Divine Creed

Elements of the Sermon: 1. Islam is the religion of all the messengers.
2. The divine nature of the Islamic creed.
3. The result of divine guidance: tranquility and trust.
4. The truth can only be known through revelation.
5. The vast difference between a divine creed and satanic delusions.

All praise be to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and light. Yet those who disbelieve set up equals with their Lord. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship but Allah, alone without any partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah exalt and send blessings to him, his family, and his companions in abundance.
To proceed:
Fear Allah, O servants of Allah, with true fear, and be mindful of Him in private and in public, as He says:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ

"O you who believe, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims" [Al-Imran: 102].

Servants of Allah:
It is the same light, the true light, the shining proof, the clear truth, the radiant lamp— the religion of Islam and the creed of monotheism.
The Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, left Makkah, migrating to Abyssinia, where the Negus was a just king under whom no one was wronged.
However, the minions of disbelief sent a delegation to bring the Muslims back from their religion to the filth of pagan ignorance. But the Negus, as the Prophet ﷺ had described him, was a just king under whom no one was wronged. He refused to hand over the Companions to their oppressors until he heard their case regarding their religion. So, he gathered them and asked, "What is this religion for which you have left your people, and you have not entered into my religion or the religion of any other people?"
Ja’far ibn Abi Talib stood up and said to him: "O King, we were a people of ignorance, worshipping idols, eating dead animals, committing vile acts, severing family ties, mistreating neighbors, and the strong among us would oppress the weak. We were in that condition until Allah sent to us a Messenger from among us, whose lineage, truthfulness, trustworthiness, and chastity we knew. He called us to Allah so that we might worship Him alone and abandon what we and our forefathers used to worship besides Him, of stones and idols. He commanded us to speak the truth, to fulfill our trusts, to maintain family ties, to be good to our neighbors, and to refrain from forbidden things and bloodshed. He forbade us from immoral acts, false speech, devouring the property of orphans, and slandering chaste women. He commanded us to worship Allah alone without associating anything with Him. He commanded us to pray, to give charity, and to fast," and then Ja’far listed the other commands of Islam. So, we believed in him and accepted his teachings. We worshiped Allah alone without associating anything with Him, and we forbade what He had forbidden us, and permitted what He allowed for us. Then our people attacked us, tortured us, and tried to force us back to the worship of idols instead of worshipping Allah, and to make us return to the filthy things we used to do."
Then Ja’far recited to him verses from the beginning of Surah Maryam. The Negus wept until his beard was wet, then he said: "By Allah, this and what Moses brought come from the same source. Go, for by Allah, I will never surrender them to you, and I will never let them be harmed."(Reported by Ahmad)

Servants of Allah:
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam, the religion of monotheism that all the messengers of Allah brought, emerging from a single source—from the Lord of all the worlds. This pure and true creed is what captivated the hearts of the Companions and transformed their lives with its unique qualities, distinguishing it from distorted beliefs and false religions.
The most important characteristic of this creed is that it originates from a divine source; it is not man-made, nor is it a philosophical concept, an intellectual product, a cultural legacy, or a body of acquired knowledge. It comes solely from Allah, who revealed it to His Messenger ﷺ as pure truth and complete guidance.
Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was upon the natural disposition (fitrah) before Allah revealed to him; he never bowed to an idol, nor was he tainted by the filth of ignorance. Yet he ﷺ did not know the details of faith until Allah revealed them to him and taught him what he did not know. Allah Almighty says:

"And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor what faith was, but We made it a light by which We guide whom We will of Our servants. And indeed, you guide to a straight path" [Ash-Shura: 52].

It is the revelation, the spirit, and the light that Allah made as life and guidance from Him to the straight path, which Allah commanded His Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to convey with a clear conveyance. Allah says:

"O Messenger, convey that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, and if you do not, then you have not conveyed His message. And Allah will protect you from the people" [Al-Ma'idah: 67].

The Prophet ﷺ fulfilled the trust, conveying the message completely and perfectly, without any addition or omission, with clear guidance, without deviation or error. Allah says:

"By the star when it descends, your companion has not strayed, nor has he erred, nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but a revelation revealed" [An-Najm: 1-4].

This concept is the fundamental principle and the foundation upon which faith and Islam are built—that our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is a messenger who receives revelation. He conveyed to us the pure creed and the just and guiding law from Allah.
This foundation brings tranquility and confidence in the heart regarding what our Prophet ﷺ informs us of. One day, a man from the desert came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Muhammad, your messenger came to us and claimed that you assert that Allah has sent you." The Prophet ﷺ said: "He has spoken the truth." The man asked: "Who created the heavens?" The Prophet ﷺ replied: "Allah." The man asked: "Who created the earth?" The Prophet ﷺ replied: "Allah." The man asked: "Who set up these mountains and placed what is within them?" The Prophet ﷺ replied: "Allah." The man then said: "By the One who created the heavens, the earth, and set up these mountains, has Allah sent you?" The Prophet ﷺ replied: "Yes." The man said: "Your messenger claims that we are obligated to pray five times a day and night." The Prophet ﷺ said: "He has spoken the truth." The man asked: "By the One who sent you, did Allah command you with this?" The Prophet ﷺ replied: "Yes." The man then mentioned zakah, fasting during Ramadan, and pilgrimage, asking each time if Allah had commanded these.

The Prophet ﷺ affirmed each one. Finally, the man said: "By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not add to this, nor will I subtract from it." The Prophet ﷺ then said: "If he is truthful, he will enter Paradise." [Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim].
This creed, which is fundamentally based on faith in the unseen, how could humanity know it purely and truly except through revelation from the Knower of the unseen, the Almighty, to His prophets and messengers, peace be upon them all? Allah says:

"Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His knowledge of the unseen to anyone, except to a messenger whom He has chosen, and then He makes a guard go before him and a guard behind him, so that He may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord. And He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number" [Al-Jinn: 26-28].

How could we truly know our Lord, His names, attributes, and actions, what He loves and what He dislikes, what He has ordained and what He has forbidden, and how could we know His messengers, His messages, His revealed books, and the life of the Hereafter, and understand the reality of humanity, its origin, and the purpose of its creation, except through revelation from Him, the Almighty?
These existential questions that have puzzled human minds cannot be answered in a definitive way, removing doubt and ending disputes, without infallible revelation from Allah, the Exalted.
How could we distinguish truth from falsehood, and justice from injustice, with a precise criterion that has no bias or deviation, without revelation from a great God who only speaks the truth and judges with justice?
Indeed, when you read the Quran, you find it informing you that this creed and this law are revelations from Allah, the Exalted.

Allah says:

"Say, it is revealed to me that your god is only One God. So will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?" [Al-Anbiya: 108].

And He says:

"Thus have We sent you to a nation before which other nations have passed away, in order that you might recite to them what We have revealed to you, while they disbelieve in the Most Merciful. Say: He is my Lord, there is no deity except Him. Upon Him I rely, and to Him is my return" [Ar-Ra’d: 30].

This was also the consistent practice of the Prophet ﷺ with people, informing them that he was conveying what Allah had commanded him to convey. When a group of Jews asked him about the soul, he did not respond until the revelation came to him, then he answered them with what Allah had revealed to him, reciting:

وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ ‌عَنِ ‌الرُّوحِ قُلِ الرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

"And they ask you about the soul. Say: The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And of knowledge, you [mankind] have been given only a little" [Al-Isra: 85].

This is narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.
The Prophet ﷺ would also inform his companions about the life of the Barzakh, that unseen world which no human can perceive except through truthful revelation from Allah. He said: "It has been revealed to me that you will be tried in your graves like, or almost like, the trial of the Dajjal." This is also narrated by Bukhari and Muslim.
Thus, the Prophet ﷺ conveyed that pure creed and guiding law from Allah in a complete and clear manner.
May Allah bless me and you with the great Quran, and benefit us with its verses and wise reminders. I seek Allah’s forgiveness for myself and for you, so seek His forgiveness. Indeed, He is the Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Second Sermon
All praise is due to Allah, and may Allah exalt and send blessings to the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and companions, and those who follow him.

O Muslim:
Find peace of mind and let your heart rejoice with this creed that descended from the heavens. How vast the difference is between it and the rubbish of minds and the delusions of fantasies!
There is a great difference between one who receives information from Allah, believes in it, and finds tranquility, and one who wanders lost among the anxieties of human devils and the whispers of jinn!
There is a vast difference between a Muslim who believes in the trustworthy Prophet’s message from the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and a Christian who follows a religion that has been manipulated by churches and popes, or a Jew who distorts Allah’s revelation to fit desires, or a pagan who fabricates idols and deifies inanimate objects, and a secularist who blinds himself to the truth and worships desires and pleasures, lost between secularism, liberalism, communism, capitalism, and other opinions and ideologies.
O Allah, keep us firm on Islam, and do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
O Allah, grant victory to Islam and honor the Muslims, and destroy the Jewish criminals. O Allah, send tranquility into the hearts of those who strive in Your cause, deliver Your oppressed servants, and raise the banner of the religion with Your power, O Almighty, O Strong.
O Allah, guide our leader to what You love and are pleased with, and direct him to righteousness and piety.
Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.
